Dia: The new Pia
Dia Frampton desperately wants to move out of her parents' house.
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter -- and current favorite to win NBC's " The Voice " -- was forced to return home to St. George, Utah, last summer when the band she formed with her sister was dropped by Warner Brothers Records.
"I had moved to New York for a while and was working at a cupcake store called Crumbs," she tells The Post. "And I was saving up to take singing lessons. But I ended up moving back, because I couldn't afford to pay rent."
The experience left Frampton -- no relation to 1970s rock icon Peter -- heartbroken.
"After all that happened, we got scared, insecure, lost sleep, felt quite useless, etc. -- or at least I did," she wrote in her Myspace blog last summer.
"My future seemed (and still is) so uncertain to me, and I wondered what I would be doing in a year."
Now she knows.
Frampton -- a Jessica Alba look-alike whose roots are Korean and Dutch -- is one of eight contestants still standing on the hit singing show. She performs again tonight for the chance to advance to the finals.
But it won't be easy. Like Pia Toscano -- the singer everyone thought would win " American Idol " last season but who was tossed out early -- Frampton faces some serious competition, particularly from fan-favorite Javier Colon and former " American Idol " contestant Frenchie Davis.
"I'm definitely not a singer that can belt out 'All by Myself' like Celine Dion, which is what I think people usually want to hear -- someone belt out a note for about 20 seconds," she told The Salt Lake Tribune.
Still, coach Blake Shelton remains Dia's biggest cheerleader. He called her Tori Amos-like interpretation of Kanye West's "Heartless" his favorite moment of the season. And Cee Lo Green said it was "probably the greatest rendition of a song I've ever heard."
The song became an instant chart-topper on iTunes.
"I was really surprised by the reaction after my last performance," Dia says.
"I was shocked that they appreciated my style. I feel like the only person who connects with my weirdness is me."
Frampton -- the second of six kids in her family, all girls -- has been fine-tuning her eclectic style for almost a decade.
She formed her first band with older sister Meg at 14. They were briefly signed to an independent label and began touring the country as soon as Frampton completed high school.

Songs like Superwoman, Woman's Worth and No One embody a kind of real girl power that the heavily sexualised imagery of most female chart pop can only mimic. Women may currently rule the hit parade but before Lady Gaga and Adele, Alicia Keys set a new

Another way is to play her “Rolling in the Deep” — No.1 on the singles chart for the fifth straight week — very loud and listen to a pearl of a pop song that combines essential ingredients of the Western popular music canon.
The new CD, recorded at the Brassworks building in Haydenville, has many of the elements of the best NRBQ albums — rhythms that swing, a thumping backbeat, sneaky guitar, sweet vocals, and Adams's jazzy, chiming piano — but the names in the liner

Many beginners learn to play the Auld Lang Syne tune first on the piano . 5 separate black keys are used to play the song. As soon as you learn piano notes on one song, pat yourself on the back as you are near to attaining your goal of becoming a pianist. Learning notes is difficult for many individuals but when you practice daily, you’ll soon be good enough that it soon feels natural.
Whether you’ve decided to hire the services of a private tutor, enrolled in a class, or settled for a CD, DVD, or book, you’ll be required to learn the letter names of the white and black keys on the piano.
Last of all, you would need to have your very own piano if you want to learn how to play. If you are a 100% sure that you want to learn, start shopping for a piano. You should not start your lessons by only visualizing the notes and the keys. To strengthen your learning, your senses – hearing and touching — have to be involved.
You can use visualization methods to easily locate the notes on the piano. After you learn piano notes, you’ll have the ability to interpret the Grand Staff, a map of the keyboard found on a music score. You will learn chord lessons quicker when you already have the ability to identify the notes.
As you proceed with your classes, you’ll learn about scales and their notes. You have to memorize the piano keys but there’s no reason to be overwhelmed since you will start with the easy ones.
The process is highly structured; pretty soon, you will progress on to do more complex notes. Keep in mind that you’ll still have to practice the simple notes even as you are already on the advanced level. In the course, you will find that you’ll continue to come across these simple notes in the complicated pieces.
If you’ve set your goals low and only wish to play simple music, you will need to study 2 keys on each scale. For example, if you are playing a C major chord, the notes you will need are C, E, and G. Knowing how to play these 3 notes at the same time means that you already have a simple chord. If your aim is to play advanced pieces, you should learn piano notes and practice rigorously.
Mastering the notes may be overwhelming but not a few have achieved it. A good advice is to visualizing the piano keys and the notes. This should be done daily until you can memorize all the notes.
I highly recommend you go through this very cautiously, the issue and the results have a handful of varieties. You should not wait until you are deep into the course to start to learn piano notes. Having mastered the notes early on makes the chapter on learning chords easier to learn. While it’s a highly enjoyable experience, patience is required in learning how to play the piano.
