140000 mile questions - Jeep Cherokee Forum
So my jeep just cracked the 140,000 mile mark and i got a tuneup on it. The shop i went to also diagnosed my CEL. I knew it was a cylinder 3 misfire but i didnt know it needed a valve job to resolve it. That job is way out of my price range so i was wondering if you guys think i should still lift it in the summer even with it needing a valve job. Also i just picked up a bottle of seafoam and just making sure i should put half the bottle in the gas tank with a full tank? 1998 Sport, 3" Skyjacker lift, BFG 31-10.50-15's on steelies, Teraflex quick discos I traded a sub sandwich for, APN header, Rustys rock sliders, Rusty's 1" drop crossmember, JY transfer case skid, rock lights, four Pro Comp 55W overhead lights, Powertrax No-slip rear, Yukon rear alloy axle shafts, homebrew roof basket, homebrew winch bumper and XRC-8 winch. I believe the mechanic said it was a floating valve but not 100 percent sure if i remember that right He quoted me in the price range of $1200. The jeep runs fine and the CEL is off now. The only time the CEL comes back on is the truck is around 210, go in a store for 10 min and come back out and turn it on. Its the heatsoak that messes things up.
